Project Overview
Hyrum Lake & Golf (HL&G) was conceived over the past seven years through joint coordination to successfully organize over 15 contiguous parcels (ranging from 14 to 147 acres), working together with Hyrum City, the Bureau of Reclamation, Congressman Bishop’s Office and the Utah State Parks to provide the infrastructure and economically improve the South Cache area. The ~500 acre Hyrum Lake is a significant recreational destination for boating, camping and year-round fishing. While historic Hyrum Utah is home to Miller’s Blue Ribbon Beef, some of their greatest real estate resources to the south and west of the city have never been developed due to lack of capital and a coordinated effort. Hyrum City has been searching for a single developer to provide a cohesive master planned community as well as construct a golf course. Harbor View, LLC was chartered in 2006; the Managing Partner is Steven G. Baugh, a local Realtor and developer, has 17 major subdivisions and 35+ year of experience. He is currently a C.C.I.M. licensed as Associate Broker,RE/MAX West.
The HL&G goal is to tie together over 700 acres of property, provide the entire infrastructure including water (culinary and secondary) storage facilities and build a well designed public golf course. To accomplish these objectives, HL&G will construct a 1.5M gallon water storage tank and large enough pond(s) on the golf course to re-use recycled city grey water to water over 175 acres of golf course and 12 public parks. In addition, HL&G will become Cache Valley’s first resort offering over 8 miles of trails for hiking, jogging, equestrian and biking. Its primary focus will be to provide a comprehensive, well designed family oriented community emphasizing a wide range of fitness and a close-knit community atmosphere. With four great distinctive recreational seasons, we aim to become the affordable location of choice for those working in Cache, Weber and Box Elder Counties. With the expansion of Powder Mountain Ski Resort into Cache Valley, HL&G will only be about fifteen minutes from the new lifts. Furthermore, commuting time from Wolf Creek in Ogden Valley to Wasatch Front locations like Hill Air Force Base, takes nearly the same amount of time.
